What We Teach
MSMA teaches a blend of Korean Chung Do Kwan, Japanese Shotokan Karate, and Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate. These styles share a common lineage, and complement each other well to provide a well-rounded traditional martial foundation.
Our school provides a fun atmosphere that encourages hard work and self improvement. Whether you want to dive into the nuances of the styles we teach or just want to have fun and get a great workout, MSMA is the place to be!

KataKata are the bedrock of many martial arts. They are patterns of techniques developed through years of training and research. We teach the sets of kata from our foundational styles.

BunkaiBunkai is the bridge between kata and self defense. It is the way of applying the lessons that kata teach in a way that works, and an essential part of our program.

Self DefenseTraditional techniques are easy to practice, but what matters most is that you can count on something in a jam. We integrate traditional techniques with proven concepts from sources like police departments.
